Unlike the foam lures by D-Claw, the Beacon 185 wooden pencil popper is a 185mm, semi-long, slim popper that is effective for kingfish and tuna. Due to the change in material, the weight is also increased to assist with casting performance whilst maintaining the slick action.

A unique body that allows long casts and a balanced design that is reduces to swim the lure incorrectly in rougher conditions.The lure sits in a vertical position at ~ 85 degrees. Due to the vertical sitting position, the sound exhibited through the water when popped attracts predators.
