Kennedy Products Bucket Tie Down Kit

One of the most common and most useful boating and fishing accessories is a 5-gallon plastic bucket. They’re used to hold live bait, dead bait, and chum;to arrange trolling rigs;as a place to throw beer cans and old ballyhoo rigs, and for innumerable other uses. Their only weakness that they tend to blow around when underway and slide around in rough water.

The Kennedy Products Bucket Tie Down Kit solves this problem perfectly. Just mount the low-profile Threaded Deck Plate wherever you want the bucket to reside. Drill a 1/4″ hole in the bottom of the bucket. Place the bucket over the deckplate and secure it with the Eye-Bolt and rubber washer. Not only will the bucket stay in place, it will not leak!

When the bucket isn’t needed, just remove it along with the Eye-Bolt and washers, leaving only the 3/16″-thick plate. This kit also works well with other thin-walled containers and makes a great way to attach a stripping basket. Of course, a 5-gallon bucket makes an inexpensive and functional stripping basket too.
