Daiwas flagship light-tackle rod series has been totally overhauled with the introductionof the 22 TD BATTLER AGS series. The pinnacle of Daiwa Australia rod design, 22 TDBATTLER AGS was a ground-up redevelopment with brand-new technology combiningwith decades of local knowledge and design experience from Daiwas product developmentteam in Australia.

It all starts with the blank, and TD BATTLER AGS is using SVF Compile-X Nanoplus graphite.This is an incredibly high-modulus carbon sheet with nano-technology resin which offersunmatched sensitivity and power-to-weight ratio. Allowing for blanks which are bothincredibly lightweight, and ultra-crisp and responsive.

Daiwas newest generation Air Guide System (AGS) carbon fibre guides have been equippedon TD BATTLER AGS. These feature improved frame design to minimise line tangles andslimmer ceramic inserts to further reduce weight and minimise friction for longer casts.

The blanks have been further improved using a clever combination of Daiwas 3DX andX45X Full Shield graphite technologies. Both work together to increase torsional stiffness toreduce blank twisting and eliminate power loss when loading. The result is an even crisperand more responsive blank which is the standard for the iconic TD BATTLER AGS series.

Fans of Daiwa rods from the past will instantly recognise the distinct clear finish to TDBATTLER AGSs new AIRSENSOR hybrid reel seat. These new reel seats have been carefullydesigned to improve comfort with features like offset blanks in the baitcast rod to make yourhand sit lower and make palming reels more comfortable.

SVF COMPILE X NANOPLUS
An incredibly high-modulus carbon sheet with nano-technology resin which offers unmatched sensitivity and power-to-weight ratio. Allowing for blanks which are both incredibly lightweight, and ultra-crisp and responsive.

3DX
supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibers in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form. This process confines the rods power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.

AGS GUIDES
Weighing a mere fraction of the weight of traditional guides (40% lighter than an equivalent sized titanium guide) AGS guides feature a solid carbon fibre frame construction that minimizes weight, improves casting distance and performance, and delivers faster rod speed, reduced rod vibration and angler fatigue, and greater rod sensitivity.

AIRFOAM GRIPS
A super high-density foam that is as sensitive as cork, but without its short comings such as wearing and discoloration. Strong, sensitive, hard-wearing and attractive.

FULL GRIP
A one-piece, single, rear grip that runs from the reel seat to the end of the rod.

MEGA TOP
A revolution in sensitivity, Megatop is unlike any other ordinary solid tip construction. The new SVF – SPX material binds graphite fibres with precise resin control for an extremely even distribution of fibres. The result of this is virtually no spine in the rod tip so it bends the same angle in any direction. This allows for incredible pinpoint cast control with the lightest of weights, and its incredible transference of even the slightest bump or vibration allows for heightened bite detection.
